Here is a break down of my recent beauty purchases from MAC, Illamasqua, Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman and La Roche Posay. I tested them all out already and I like them all.

| MAC Purchases |
On Monday I bought MAC
Summer Shower Lipstick from the Fashion Flower Collection,
Faux Gold and
Hint of Sapphire Mineralize Eyeshadow from the Semi-precious Collection. Good thing I bought Rare Find and Warmth of Coral on Saturday because they were already sold out on Monday. I love both eyeshadows because they are smooth in texture and apply well dry. Both are very beautiful especially when they catch some light. Summer Shower is a wonderful lipstick due to it having a glaze finish it lets my natural lip color shine through but with a beautiful shimmer.

I ordered
Jo'mina nail varnish and
Mould(grape) cream pigment from
Illamasqua. I thought
Mould would be a good base for MAC
Rare Find and maybe
Hint of Sapphire. My order arrived Thursday, which is very quick - took only 3 days, the products were well packed and I also received a booklet with some information on their spring/summer collections and their line in general. I quickly tested both and I have to say, Mould is great on its own and it works well as a base too, I love it! The texture is just right not too creamy and also very pigmented, a little goes a long way. Tomorrow I'll try it with Hint of Sapphire. Jo'mina is gorgeous! I like the consistency of the nail varnish and it is opaque with only one coat but I applied two coats for an extra oomph. Purple is one of my favorite colors so I'm in love with Jo'mina. I will be ordering more products from Illamasqua in the future. I would love to try their skin base foundation but since there are no stores here in the Netherlands, I rather not pay so much for a foundation that might not match my actual skin tone. But you never know I may splurge just to test it out.

On Wednesday I bought La Roche Posay Anthelios AC SPF30 for €16,95. I read somewhere that the spf in old products will deminish(?) with time. I don't know if this is true or not but I rather be safe than sorry. I plan on using it everyday for the rest of summer and beginning of fall. In the winter I plan on using spf 15.
I also ordered the Real Techniques Brushes by Samantha Chapman - the Travel Essentials Set, if I enjoy them I may buy some more. They arrived Saturday, and I have to say I do like them, they are very soft. They came in a case that is really easy to travel with and it converts into a stand for the brushes. I tested them already, before I took pictures so sorry that they are dirty and the background sucks.

I forgot to mention my boyfriend bought me the MAC 266 brush last month. I use it to put eyeshadow on as an eye liner, it works well, it is dirty also but I decided to take pictures anyway. I haven't tried to fill in my brows with it yet.

Now that I have so many new brushes I will be buying some more brush guards. They work perfect for when I wash my brushes. I can let them dry up side down. In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed reading about my recent beauty purchases!
